Guided Mah Jongg Play is designed for players who have learned the basics of American Mah Jongg but aren’t quite ready to sit down at a table and play independently with new people. This supportive, low-pressure class bridges the gap between learning the game and confidently playing in the real world. Players will participate in full games while receiving guidance, reminders, and encouragement along the way. We’ll work on reading the NMJL card, choosing and changing hands, navigating the Charleston, making decisions during play, and understanding common table etiquette.
